I’m slowly working my way through the new brick that’s edging the north side of the yard, extracting a few bricks at a time and beating them against each other to round off their edges and introduce some organic irregularity in their otherwise rectilinear, manmade appearance. I’m sure the neighbors must think me quite mad, if I’ve been observed in the behavior.
